Christmas is the quiet one of my Christmas sweaters.
No red elves. No snowflakes. Just an eyelet pattern that catches the light — and in December, light is about all we have.
That is how I think a Christmas sweater should be: something you take out because you want to, not because the calendar says so. A sweater you can wear on the eighteenth of January without anyone seeing that it was meant as something else.
The eyelet pattern runs in a fixed system, and that is the whole design. No stripes, no embroidery, no extra colours. Choose a yarn with a little shine and the eyelets do the rest of the job.
