2. The personal data we collect

When a customer shops with CosyMonday, we store the following personal data:
– Name
– Address
– Email address

We need this information in order to deliver the goods to the customer, and to be able to pass on updates or corrections to patterns the customer has bought. We are also required to keep the information for accounting and tax purposes. CosyMonday by A Karlsrud is responsible for making sure the processing complies with Norwegian law. The Norwegian Data Protection Authority supervises compliance.

When a customer visits the website, certain information about their device and browser is collected automatically. Personal data and information about the items the customer has bought are stored and used to compile sales statistics. Sales statistics show which patterns customers are interested in, how many people visit which pages, which sites visitors come from, which browser and device are used, and how long a visit lasts. This helps us tailor our pages to what our customers want and need.

3. How the information is collected
  • Customer account registration / “My account”
To shop with CosyMonday, the customer needs to create an account. That way the customer will always have access to previously purchased patterns in their account.
To create an account with us, the customer provides name, address and email address.

  • Google Analytics
Google Analytics is used for website statistics, so that CosyMonday can give visitors the best possible experience on the site and more easily adapt the site and its offers to what customers want. Google Analytics' privacy information is available here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245
  • Web analytics and cookies
Data is logged in order to optimise the site and make it easier to use for our visitors. Cookies also gather information that helps us improve the site, so our customers get the best possible experience. Among other things, we register which sites send visitors our way, how many people visit us, and which pages are popular. A so-called “permanent cookie” can also recognise a visitor the next time he or she visits our store, but the customer is free to delete cookies in their browser after placing an order. This is standard technology used by most websites today.
4. Sharing personal data with third parties

CosyMonday does not misuse our visitors' or customers' personal data. We neither sell, trade nor pass on our customers' information to any third parties other than those listed above. Those companies are not permitted to use the information for anything other than performing services for us.

6. Your rights

Customers have the right to ask what personal data we hold about them. If the information is wrong, they can ask for it to be corrected or removed. We cannot remove personal data where the law requires us to keep it – for example under bookkeeping rules.

If a customer or visitor believes that CosyMonday has not upheld their rights under the Norwegian Personal Data Act, they have the right to complain to the relevant supervisory authority. This is done by sending a complaint to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority; contact details are available at www.datatilsynet.no
