Knit slippers

From about age nine. One flat piece that is folded and sewn — easier than slippers look.

You need

• Chunky yarn
• 6 mm needles
• Darning needle

This is what you learn

• Measuring the foot
• Simple shaping
• Sewing up

Cast on

Cast on 18 stitches.

Knit

Knit all the stitches.

Carry on until the work measures:

• about 25 cm for small feet
• about 30 cm for bigger feet

Sew up

Fold the work in half. Sew the toe and the heel together. Leave an opening for the foot.

Make one more slipper.
