Alba – The Beanie
A Head Full of Dreams · Level: Beginner plus
Part of A Head Full of Dreams – my series of hats. Alba – The Beanie is inspired by the first snow and quiet winter mornings, knitted with double mohair and mock cables. A clean, timeless hat you wear season after season.
Clean. Soft. Timeless.
Styling
Style Alba – The Beanie with a long wool coat, a classic mohair sweater or a thick down jacket. The snow-white colour makes the hat easy to combine with both light natural tones and dark winter colours.

The story behind the design
Alba means dawn or the white light, and the design is inspired by the first bright winter mornings, when the snow reflects the light and the landscape looks calm and almost untouched.
The aim was to make a hat that never goes out of style. A shape with clean lines, beautiful texture and a fit that works just as well on a mountain walk as with a classic wool coat in town.
A Head Full of Dreams
A Head Full of Dreams is CosyMonday's signature collection of hats – inspired by hope, creativity and stories told through colours, textures and moods. Every model has its own personality, but they all share the same philosophy: simple techniques, soft qualities and designs you want to wear again and again.

Construction
Alba – The Beanie is knitted in the round from the bottom up. The deep ribbing turns into decorative mock cables that add texture without drawing attention away from the clean silhouette. The crown is shaped with even decreases for a harmonious finish.

Yarn feel
Double mohair gives Alba a characteristic cloud-like volume with a light halo around the stitches. Påfugl in Paris gives an elegant, silky-soft look, while Tjukk Mohair gives a more rustic texture.
Cosy Cues
Want an extra soft look? Let the hat dry flat after washing and brush it gently with a mohair brush once it is dry. That lifts the fibres and gives the characteristic airy finish that makes mohair so beautiful.
