Candy – The Vest

Over a white shirt, a simple top or on its own. The short length suits both high-waisted trousers and a dress, and the colour band lets the garment carry a whole outfit on its own.

Candy is built on one idea: a wide band in hot pink between two sections in light pink. Everything else is kept as simple as possible. The vest is knitted as two flat pieces without sleeves and without shaping – a pattern you can start on a Friday and wear on Sunday.

12 stitches × 17 rounds stockinette = 10 × 10 cm on 7 mm needles.

Knitted bottom-up as two flat pieces – one back and one front – sewn together at the shoulders and sides. Straight armholes and straight top edge. The neck is shaped by sewing together only the outermost stitches of each shoulder.

A simple, graphic pattern without sleeves and without shaping. All the focus is on the two colour changes and on the fit you decide yourself in the shoulder seam.
