The story behind the design

The Calla Blouse is inspired by Cala Bassa on Ibiza – a place where the turquoise sea meets pale sandy beaches and pastel parasols. The contrast between the calm landscape and the colourful details became the starting point for the flower border across the yoke.

Paradise Collection

Paradise Collection is CosyMonday's most feminine collection – inspired by flowers, warm summer days and places that stay with you. Here airy qualities meet romantic details in designs made to be worn and loved for a long time.

Sizes

S – M – L

Yarn & equipment

Recommended yarn

Påfugl in Paris – House of Yarn
Hip Wool – HipKnitShop

Approx. 7–8 balls in total, depending on size, yarn choice and colour combinations.

The combination of mohair and wool gives a light, soft and exclusive quality with a beautiful texture and good body. Leftovers from Garnspesialisten also work well here.

Needles

7 mm circular needle (40 and 80 cm)
7 mm double-pointed needles

Gauge

12 stitches × 17 rounds = 10 × 10 cm.

Construction

The Calla Blouse is knitted bottom-up. Body and sleeves are knitted separately before they are joined and shaped with raglan decreases. The yoke is finished with a decorative flower pattern that gives the sweater its distinctive look.

About the pattern

The pattern is written with plain explanations and a good workflow in mind. It suits you if you want to learn new techniques without the project turning complicated. The flower pattern is built up step by step and gives a result that looks far more advanced than it actually is.

What you will learn
  • Flexible cast on
  • Raglan decreases
  • Flower pattern
  • Knitting puff sleeves
  • Using stitch markers
  • Neat finishing
Yarn feel

The mohair gives the design a light, airy halo, while the wool creates stability and holds the shape. The result is a sweater that feels warm, soft and comfortable without turning heavy.

Cosy Cues

The flower pattern is perfect for playing with colour. Try muted pastels for a romantic look, or strong contrasts if you want something more modern and graphic. Small colour changes give the design a completely new character.
