There are a few weeks in March when nothing in the wardrobe is right. The winter sweater is too warm, and the spring clothes are too thin.

Early Spring is knitted for those weeks. Mohair, but light. Enough weight that it doesn't flap about, enough air that you can wear it indoors without having to take it off.
It's the lace pattern that does it. The half brioche puts density where the garment should fall, and the holes take it away again where you get warm. Two techniques doing the exact opposite job, in the same sweater.
The boat neck is part of the sum. A high neck would have turned this sweater into a winter garment, and then the point would have been lost.
Raglan decreasing is the simplest way to make an armhole. You decrease in four places at once, and the shape comes by itself.
