Bloom – The Golden Hour Dress

Bloom Collection · Level: Beginner plus

Part of the Bloom Collection – my collection for the first flowers of spring and long summer days. Bloom – The Golden Hour Dress is a long, feminine dress knitted top-down in wool, merino and viscose, with panels that build volume towards the hem. A flowing silhouette for garden parties, summer weddings and quiet holiday days.

Feminine. Flowing. Timeless.

Styling

Wear Bloom – The Golden Hour Dress with sandals on warm summer days, bare feet in the grass, or boots and a soft cardigan when the evening turns cooler. Style it with the long belt for a defined waist, or wear it loose for a more relaxed silhouette. The decorative flower can be pinned to the dress, in your hair or on a bag, and gives the design a personal touch.

The story behind the design

Golden Hour is about the small moments when the light softens and everything feels a little calmer. The dress is designed to recreate that feeling through airy yarns, flowing panels and a feminine silhouette that moves naturally with the body.

Bloom Collection

The Bloom Collection is CosyMonday's tribute to the first flowers of spring, long summer days and a wardrobe full of light, feminine garments. The designs combine Scandinavian simplicity with romantic details and airy yarn qualities for a timeless look.

The collection is made for you who want to create handmade favourites that feel as beautiful to wear as they are to knit.

Yarn & equipment

Recommended yarn combination

  • Stratus (wool)
  • Dinamo (merino)
  • Dima (viscose)

Three different yarn qualities build the dress's characteristic look. The combination of matte wool, soft merino and lustrous viscose creates natural contrasts, discreet silky stripes and beautiful depth throughout the garment.

You can also put together your own unique yarn combination with leftover yarn from Garnspesialisten and give the dress a completely personal look.

Needles & accessories

  • Circular needle 6 mm – 40 cm
  • Circular needle 6 mm – 80 cm
  • Circular needle 6 mm – 100–120 cm
  • Stitch markers
  • Stitch holder cable
  • Darning needle
  • Tape measure
Gauge

16 stitches × 19 rounds = 10 × 10 cm on 6 mm needles.

Construction

The dress is knitted top-down with raglan increases. The sleeves are put on hold while the body is shaped with a gentle waist before three distinctive panels gradually build volume and movement in the skirt. The finish creates an elegant, flowing silhouette that follows the body without becoming heavy.

About the pattern

Bloom – The Golden Hour Dress is written for you who want to learn how construction, materials and details can create an exclusive garment without complicated techniques. Along the way you work with raglan increases, waist shaping, panel increases and yarn combinations that give the dress its characteristic look.
