Krokus – The Sweater is inspired by the first signs of spring, when the crocus pushes through the snow and fills the landscape with colour. The deep purple and pink tones make a warm contrast to the handmade flower details, which are partly knitted and partly embroidered.

The airy mohair gives the sweater a silky halo and brings out both the bobble texture and the hand-embroidered flower details. Leftovers from Garnspesialisten also work well for the embroidery.

12 stitches × 17 rounds = 10 × 10 cm on 7 mm needles. Check your gauge before you start, so you get the right size and fit.

Krokus – The Sweater is knitted top-down with raglan. Once the sweater is finished, the crocus flowers are embroidered onto selected areas to give the garment a lively, handmade look.

Tip from the designer: Embroider the flower details after the sweater has been washed and lightly blocked. Placing them is easier then, and the embroidery sits better on the garment.
