When I Need a Friend - is a straight mohair sweater with narrow stripes, thin gold stripes, no puff sleeves, and with text embroidery on the sleeve and flower embroidery at the top of the body.
The sweater is designed as a protest against the war in Ukraine and as moral support for the people who have to live through it, and with a wish for peace in the world.

Get the pattern free, use your leftover yarn, embroider in your own message of support, a heart for instance, and send it free of charge with Posten to Ukraine , and they will hand the sweater out to those who are cold.

If you knit loosely, go down to no. 6
If you knit tightly, go up to no. 8
It is strongly recommended that you knit a gauge swatch of 20 stitches and 15 cm in height to check this. Gauge is measured over 10 cm in width and 10 cm in height.
It can feel unnecessary to start with this, but the work you put in here is what makes sure you end up with a garment you can wear, and that you can send. Use the swatch afterwards to test the wool programme on your washing machine, before you wash the garment itself. Remember to measure the swatch before you wash it, so you can see any changes😊
