May is inspired by the Norwegian spring – the first flowers breaking through after winter and the light slowly coming back. Each embroidered flower stands for one of nature's small moments of joy, and makes every cardigan a little work of art with a look of its own.

Embroidery

Use your own leftover yarn – ideally from Garnspesialisten – or colours such as dusty pink, light lavender, pink, green and gold thread (Lurex, for example) for the flowers and details.

12 stitches × 17 rounds = 10 × 10 cm on 7 mm needles.

May – The Cardigan is knitted top-down with raglan increases. Once it is assembled, the spring flowers are embroidered straight onto the garment, which makes every cardigan personal and unique. The classic collar and the striped cuffs complete the design's characteristic look.

The pattern is clearly structured and guides you through both the knitting and the embroidery. It suits you if you want to explore decorative techniques and make a garment with a look entirely its own.
